Lamb Chops with Rosemary
  • 1 tsp butter (5g)
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary (10g)
  • 2 lambchops, fat trimmed off(225g)
The sprig of fresh rosemary will fill your whole kitchen with a wonderful homey fragrance. As is the case here, meat tends to carry a heavy phosphorus and potassium load, but you do need the protein! Served alongside Basmati rice and sauteed cauliflower, it adds up to 589 mg phosphorus, but with the benefit of 55 grams of protein.

STEP 1: Trimming the fat from the lamb chops.
STEP 2: Melt the butter in a heavy skillet, and add the lamb chops and the rosemary as soon as the butter is melted.
STEP 3: Fry on medium-high both sides until browned; Cooking time depends on thickness of cut, roughly 5 minutes each side.
STEP 4: Serve with Basmati rice and sauteed cauliflower.
